HISTORY
This wine is a mixture of 2 indigenous Lebanese varieties that probably trace their ancestry back to the Phoenicians. This wine is made from very old vines grown at high altitudes. Merweh grapes are spread on Mount Bsharreh west of the Bekaa Valley at an altitude of 1400 meters between the famous cedars of Mount Lebanon.

It is believed that these vines have not been pruned or treated in the past two decades, resulting in extremely low yields with concentrated aromas.

Merweh is a hardy variety that blends very well with the Mediterranean Adapted to the mountain climate and ecosystem. The grapes were picked by hand.
Due to the wild nature of the vines, ripening was uneven and required several passes and an experienced team to select only perfectly ripe grapes.

Obeidi vineyards are grown on the hills of Zahleh - the capital of the Bekaa Valley - at an altitude of 1100 meters. These vines are trained on a pergola system to ensure they enjoy the best sun exposure to achieve maximum ripeness and balance of this late ripening grape. Obeidi is a reliable and very resilient grape variety that has been considered the backbone of the Bekaa Valley vine throughout its winemaking history.
