ABOUT CHATEAU SAINT THOMAS
Founded in 1990 by Saïd Touma and his family on a hill overlooking the Bekaa Valley, Château St Thomas is a 65-hectare vineyard and a wine warehouse for fermentation and aging.
Château St Thomas is the masterpiece of Saïd Touma, a passionate man with more than 55 years of experience in the distillation and fermentation of grape juice who is the legacy of making Arak (Lebanese national drink), and his son Joe-Assaad, a Agronomists and winemakers who followed in the family tradition with the same passion for great winemaking.

The Château St Thomas winery is located on a hill overlooking the Bekaa Valley - the center of the Lebanese wine industry - at an altitude of more than 1000 m.
The noble grape varieties cultivated (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc) as well as the local grape variety such as Obeidy are used to the climatic conditions and geological properties of the Bekaa Valley: p>
A Mediterranean and semi-continental climate, characterized by cold and rainy winters and hot and dry summers.
The soil is superficial, well-drained and consists of a mixture of limestone and pebble. The yield is particularly low. Water is never a problem as the eastern and western mountain ranges receive frequent rain and snow from November to April.
